  In the context of the total installation ‘The Last Days of Ancient Sunlight’ by London‑based artist Grace Ndiritu, Schouwburg Kortrijk will appoint a ‘Forest Laureate’ each year starting January 2027: an inspiring thinker who opens the year with a message of hope and action. The very first Forest Laureate is David Van Reybrouck, currently the ‘Denker des Vaderlands’ (Thinker of the Netherlands).
