Practical accessibility information
Are you planning a visit to Schouwburg Kortrijk?
Below you will find information about access, parking, seating, support, and comfort.
Access to the building and the venues
You can enter without steps. Performances not on the ground floor can be reached with a lift.
Schouwburg Kortrijk has two venues: OAAS and UTOOP. For every performance, it is clearly stated in which venue it takes place. Clear signage in the building will help you find your way. Wheelchair spaces are available in every venue.
There are accessible toilets in the building.
A changing room is also provided. Ask about this at the reception.
Seats and comfort
The venues are designed to be easily adaptable. Together, we will look at what a comfortable solution is for you.
Would you like to reserve a wheelchair space? Do you also need a seat for someone who wants to sit next to you? Then please contact our ticket office at (+0032) (0)56 23 98 55 or tickets.schouwburg@kortrijk.be

Calm and Sensory Reduction
- Quiet space: In the building, there is a quiet place where you can unwind before or after the performance if you need to. Ask about it at the reception.
- Visual preparation: Would you like images or a brief explanation to help prepare for your visit? Email schouwburg@kortrijk.be.
- Assistance: If you would like to be escorted to your seat in the auditorium or elsewhere in the building, we are happy to help; just let the reception know.
- Early boarding: If possible for the performers, we provide early boarding. This means that those who prefer to find their seat without the crowd and with a bit more time will be allowed into the auditorium about 10 minutes in advance. If you need this, please inform the reception.
- Fidget toys: Fidget toys are available for loan at the reception. Just let us know that you would like to take one and return it at the end of your visit.
Support for Performances
Auditory Support (MobileConnect)
Our venues are equipped with Sennheiser MobileConnect. This allows you to stream the sound of the performance to your own hearing aid, cochlear implant, or earbuds via your smartphone. This way, visitors receive clear, individually adjustable sound without separate listening receivers.
- Install the MobileConnect app on your smartphone (before your visit, or on-site).
- Connect on-site to the MobileConnect system in the venue (follow the instructions provided on-site).
- Select the correct channel and adjust the volume via your device.
- If you need help with installation and connection, ask at the reception.
