In a world without trees, a child hears a strange rhythm coming from beneath the floor. It turns out to be the very last tree, pushing its way stubbornly through the concrete. When machines arrive to take it away, the child must choose: stay silent or take action.

In a world where every tree has been cut down and life unfolds indoors between stone and plastic, a child hears a strange rhythm beneath her bedroom floor. It turns out to be a tree - the first she has ever seen - forcing its way through the concrete. When heavy machines arrive to remove it and build an “air‑purification centre,” the child must decide whether to stay silent or stand up for what matters.

Drawing inspiration from 'Children of Men' and Valerie Trouet’s award‑winning work on what trees reveal about our past and future, Michai Geyzen creates a visual, poetic and musical story. At its heart is a vivid dialogue between a child and the last remaining tree - an imaginative adventure about how even one child can make a difference.
