Jonas Baeke and Mats Vandroogenbroeck create a performance about fear - and the monster with many names: death, stress, change. What happens when you don’t chase it away but simply say ‘hello’? 'NACHT' is surprising object theatre about daring to look at what frightens you.

With 'NACHT', Mats Vandroogenbroeck and Jonas Baeke create an intimate performance about fear. They introduce us to different characters who, in the middle of the night, feel something eerie creeping up on them. But what happens when we say ‘hello’ to the monster? When we don’t chase it away, but start a conversation? Are we still alone? Are we still afraid?

'NACHT' is the duo’s third collaboration in youth theatre. Their previous shows, Bambiraptor and Infinity Forever, were both selected for the TheaterFestival. With this new creation, they expand their rich visual universe and step fully into the world of object theatre.
