#SBS 2.3: Vincent Coomans
Vincent Coomans is a 33-year-old musician who lives and works in Belgium. Distance, longing, and grief are central themes in his music, which evokes references to Sufjan Stevens, Damien Jurado, Bill Ryder-Jones, and Elliott Smith. In 2020, his instinctive EP 'Can't you see that I slowly distance myself from you' was released. One of the songs from the EP, 'I will be your Man,' was picked up by the iconic radio program Duyster on Studio Brussel. In 2022, his first album 'The Great Rebuild' will be released by Illuminine Records.
