#SBS 2.9: Lady V
As the daughter of an old-school rapper, hip hop was instilled in her from a young age. Lady V grew up in the recording studio and was already jumping on her father's tracks as a child. She honors this family connection by keeping the V in her name, which refers to her family name.
As a young girl, she moved to London, where she would live for 4 years. There, her love for writing grew, but her focus at that time was still on her sport. When she returned to Belgium at the age of 11, she immediately dove back into her father's studio. All the stimuli from when she was very small were instantly rekindled! She filled notebooks with lyrics over random beats, but it would take another 6 years before she expanded her home studio at home.
In the meantime, she is gradually securing her place in the hip hop scene and representing all women in the hip hop world at a top level! Because female MCs can be hardcore too!
