#SBS 4.6: Zer0 Rei
Zer0 Rei, the alter ego of Sebastien Dessauvage, is a musician and visual artist from Kortrijk active in ambient, vaporwave, and experimental electronics. His music stems from personal experiences with autism and ADHD, and he consciously chooses slowness, noise, and alienation. Once rooted in raw noise, he now explores dreamy worlds like slushwave and mallsoft. His style mixes Drone, IDM, and Deconstructed Club into a unique, boundary-pushing sound. Zer0 Rei is not a genre, but an experience. He was a driving force behind the revival of The Pit's and co-founder of collectives like GRNDLGGRS and BLUT! Art Gallery. With the Slushwave festival at the arts center BUDA, he brings international artists to Kortrijk and provides space for outsider art. For this session, he presents a live hardware set: an improvised reinterpretation of Fugue, built from glitchy loops, layers of noise, and heavy basses.
