‘Annihilation’ is klimaatfictie voor het podium. Via velddagboekfragmenten, verhoor, wetenschappelijke observaties en flashbacks vervaagt voor het publiek langzaam de grens tussen observator en geobserveerde. Een aangrijpende voorstelling over het moment waarop de natuur terugkijkt naar ons universum.

A biologist joins an expedition into Area X: a zone where nature has reclaimed the land and where previous missions ended in disappearance, madness or suicide. She is the only one who returns. Placed in quarantine, she is questioned by an anonymous agency trying to reconstruct what happened. But whatever comes back from Area X no longer fully matches the person who was sent out.
