An evening of music or an evening of comedy? With 'DJ Loebas', you don’t have to choose. Piv Huvluv delivers a comedic ode to a friendship etched in vinyl grooves - accompanied, of course, by a rich and surprising soundtrack.

Piv Huvluv is one of the originals who helped launch stand‑up comedy in Flanders back in 1998. Since then, he has spent nearly three decades performing continuously in cultural centres across the region. What makes him truly unique is the genre he carved out for himself: vinyl comedy. No show without records, no records without a joke or a story.

That’s no different in DJ Loebas. The title refers to the close friend Piv lost unexpectedly. Their friendship goes back to childhood - inseparable at school and in the Chiro - and later deepened through music, the glue that held them together. They even became a DJ duo: Loebas & Kolos.

But the fairytale doesn’t last. A widening gap in musical taste makes collaboration increasingly difficult, and a treacherous temptress eventually drives a wedge between them. And just when things seem to be mended, yet another irresistible woman throws everything off course.

DJ Loebas is a comedic ode to a friendship etched in vinyl grooves - complete with a rich, surprising soundtrack. It’s also a playful warning to men of all ages: beware of maneaters, water nymphs, femmes fatales and loreleis.
