Lisa Vereertbrugghen once dissected the political and physical force of hardcore techno; now she turns to the opposite end of the spectrum: the slow. A dance that is radically intimate and unhurried in an era ruled by speed and isolation. She transforms it into a slow‑rave: collective, tender, and quietly rebellious.

For twelve years, Lisa Vereertbrugghen has explored the political and physical dimensions of (hardcore) techno. With Again Forever, she shifts her focus to the opposite end of the speed spectrum: the slow.

She approaches the slow dance as a subtly subversive form - the unhurried sibling of the rave. The performance highlights how the slow radically reimagines intimacy and time in an era obsessed with productivity, acceleration and isolation.

By pulling the slow dance out of its traditional context and connecting it to today’s queer nightlife, Vereertbrugghen turns slow dancing into a collective practice and a form of resistance - a slow rave.
