Under the direction of choreographer Amala Dianor, eleven artists express the vibrancy of various dance styles. From krump and waacking to electro, this close-knit community brings the values of underground dance styles back to life.

Who invents underground dance styles like krump and waacking today? In ‘DUB’, Amala Dianor brings together the crème de la crème of dancers to showcase the diversity of this community around the world.

Senegalese-born Amala Dianor, a dancer himself, has meanwhile carved out his place in the French dance scene as a choreographer. He first earned his stripes in battles, before taking over contemporary stages one by one with his unifying style and his penchant for collaborations.

In ‘DUB’, he brings together eleven artists he met during his travels who display a great versatility of styles. Guided by the rousing rhythms – created by composer and DJ Awir Leon – the raw energy of krump goes hand in hand with the fast arm movements of waacking.

These virtuosos take us back to the place where these dances originated and, with their boundless energy and cohesion, create an irresistible show.
