Ozark Henry and Kortrijk Brass Band join forces for a festive evening full of emotion, grandeur, and musical class. A unique encounter between 30 years of artistry, 50 years of brass history, and the sound of tomorrow.

The Kortrijk Brass Band (conducted by Ward De Ketelaere) is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, and is doing so together with Ozark Henry, the stage name of Piet Goddaer. He himself reflects on 30 years of career. On this occasion, and in light of his new album August Parker, he is presenting a theater tour that connects the past and the future. Expect refined arrangements, timeless classics, and new material, carried by his distinctive voice and captivating sound.

From debut to anniversary

Ozark Henry broke through with his debut album in 1996, which even earned praise from David Bowie. Since then, he has built a genre-defying body of work and has grown into one of the most innovative artists in Belgium. This concert is therefore more than just a performance: it is an intimate look at an artistic evolution spanning three decades.

A band with history

The Kortrijk Brass Band also looks back on a rich past. Since 1976, the band has kept the brass band culture alive in Kortrijk and has been performing at the highest level within the Belgian brass band world for many years. Various composers have written works for the band, including Norbert Goddaer, who dedicated his piece How about London to the then conductor Lieven Maertens.

Norbert Goddaer is also the father of Piet Goddaer. The concert on January 17, 2027, thus brings together two stories that have long been intertwined.
