In 'Nimble', nine dancers explore how they can move through space as one single body. Inspired by the nimble footwork of boxers, they remain in constant motion, trading rhythms and navigating the tension between the collective and the individual.

With 'Nimble,' Not Standing presents its most ambitious creation to date. Nine dancers form a contemporary corps de ballet, exploring the power of collective physical rhythm and the spatial dynamics that shape their movement. How does a collective body - made up of nine individuals - navigate and transform the space around it.

Focusing on the lower body - sparked by Alexander Vantournhout’s fascination with the footwork of boxers - 'Nimble' shines a light on what usually escapes our attention. The dancers remain in constant motion, exchanging rhythms and playing across the full tension between the collective and the individual.

The soundtrack is created and performed live by the dancers themselves. Movements spill over into a soundscape of beats, polyrhythms, loops and vivid live electronics, blurring the line between dancer and musician. Nimble unfolds as a pulsating choreography where movement and music propel one another forward, turning the stage into a single, collective physical rhythm.
