Aglica Trio and mezzo‑soprano Sterre Decru join forces for an overwhelming dialogue between voice and instrument, past and present. From the passionate Baroque of Barbara Strozzi to the contemporary introspection of Randall Snyder, these young talents dare to explore boundaries - and push them further.

Sterre Decru and AGLICA Trio seek out the places where music begins to glow. Think baroque melancholy with contemporary frayed edges: velvety vocal lines, cutting strings, and intense soundscapes that constantly balance between stillness and release. What starts as refined chamber music slowly grows into a charged dialogue between voice and instrument, between ancient emotion and contemporary tension.

The expressive mezzo-soprano Sterre Decru weaves effortlessly through the rich textures of the trio. Sometimes fragile and almost whispering, at other times captivating and full of fire. From the passionate baroque of Barbara Strozzi to the subdued contemporary sounds of Randall Snyder: each piece breathes longing, unrest, and intensity. Francesco Cavalli's dramatic flair and the warm-blooded emotional layering of Wajnberg also receive new life here, sharp, vibrant, and unpredictable.

AGLICA Trio is known for its refined interplay and bold programming, but together with Sterre Decru, something emerges that goes beyond a classical concert. No distant perfection, but music that grates, breathes, and crawls right under the skin. Expect an afternoon full of nuance, tension, and musical risks, where past and present continually flow into one another. During this concert, Luba Tunnicliffe, who often collaborates with AGLICA Trio, will take over the viola part from Agnieszka.
