The Brussels‑based jazz quartet This is The Omen crafts the perfect sonic universe for turbulent times: powerful drum and bass grooves, a melodious trumpet and tenor saxophone, and electronic elements. The result is a hypnotic, explosive blend that mirrors our fears and our hopes.

Explosive, melancholic and narrative — that is the essence of This Is The Omen. This Brussels‑based jazz quartet moves at the crossroads of jazz and progressive rock. In their sonic universe, drum and bass grooves merge with trumpet and tenor saxophone melodies, enriched with electronic elements.

This Is The Omen deliberately avoids harmonic instruments, allowing the horns to use their full frequency range and immerse you in their sound world: dark, spiritual, hypnotic and bursting with energy. As the band’s name suggests, their music reflects both the fear and the hope of these turbulent times.
