Bavo Buys (they/them) invites you into the universe of Narcissus - their alter ego locked in a battle against time. How far will Narcissus go to make themself untouchable, to be adored? In this critical and manipulative solo performance, our narcissistic society is both mercilessly indicted and wildly celebrated.

In 'Wild Narcissus' Bavo Buys introduces their new alter ego, Narcissus. The performance blends plot, documentary, personal confession and social‑media aesthetics into a critical, manipulative solo that both indicts and celebrates our narcissistic society. 'Wild Narcissus' reveals the fleeting - and devastating - power of youth, beauty and self‑preservation.

Drawing inspiration from the myth of Narcissus, Oscar Wilde’s 'The Picture of Dorian Gray', and pop‑cultural alter egos like Sasha Fierce and Ziggy Stardust, Bavo explores “the bad in humanity” for the first time in a self‑created theatre work. With success: in September 2025, Wild Narcissus is awarded the Sabam Prize at the TheaterFestival.
