Daan has delivered exuberant, baroque shows for thirty years, but for Crooner he settles behind the grand piano. It becomes an intimate dive into his own repertoire and favourite covers. Daan closer and more personal than ever.

For 30 years, Daan has been surprising his loyal audience with a whirlwind of musical genres - from pop noire to indie rock, from electro to country, beats and ballads. Mostly in English, but at times in French or Dutch. In this theatre tour, the common thread running through all those genres becomes even clearer: melancholic yet humorous lyrics full of visual metaphors (Daan is, after all, a graphic artist) and the urge to transform them into almost baroque musical paintings.

This tour distils all his songs in the same musical way: Daan sits behind the grand piano or guitar. Isolde Lasoen - his musical muse for 25 years - brings vibraphone, drums, trumpet, bells and angelic vocals. The virtuosic Jean‑François Assy, known for his work with Alain Bashung, William Sheller and Yann Tiersen, plays his atypical cello.
